The 72 acre farm & vineyard comes with a euro-eco built farm house with multiple kitchen prep areas and tasting bar and separate to the home are the agritourism studio and rental, barns, winery building already in place. High volume creek, reservoirs and irrigation and power licenses with the province make this farm a very desirable opportunity in the Gulf Islands. The farm and home living areas are run on alternative energy with solar array and high volume micro-hydro system on the farm’s own creek. Large diesel generator with power house for shoulder times and for higher demand activities. Seton engineered wood boiler supplies hot water and radiant heat to both buildings with kitchens. Multiple pastures, mature orchard and vineyard are in place with additional prepped areas for expansion. Extensive wood lot included. Farm has valley bottom land, terraced vineyard and mountainside ocean view look out above the vineyard taking in the entire farm operation. This is a beautiful permaculture designed farm and vineyard. Very unique natural wine vineyard offering truly organic management and mature vines that have developed disease resistance through bio-dynamic practices.  Elderberry Lane Farm & Vineyard is a destination property waiting for further development.  Here you and your guests will enjoy the woodland trails, your own own lake with cabin sites.  Topping off the experience is a road on your own estate property which takes you up to a stunning mountain top destination.  Here you will find several future building sites and a summit with a 360 degree view of wooded valleys and stunning ocean views over the Sabine Channel around to Vancouver Island’s Mount Arrowsmith, Qualicum Beach and the Comox Glacier.  Imagine enjoying the amazing Pacific sunsets from your own mountain top perch.

On the farm a wild pond below spills over to drive water turbine for the ample micro-hydro and your own off-grid powerplant.  The vineyard has ample reservoir and gravity fed drip irrigation permaculture system.

On the estate road you can stop and see another building site. Click on the picture to enlarge and really see the view!  This southwest facing view is over the Straight of Georgia with Hornby Island and the snow capped peaks of Vancouver Island in the distance.  The little islets on the right and bay in the middle is where the Lasqueti Island ferry docks (False Bay) about 3.5 KM from here. The entire property has a grand mixed forest of pine, Douglas fir, big leaf maple, and arbutus trees.  There is plenty of annual growth to provide a continuous supply of wood.

Just one of the many beautiful nature trails you and your guests will enjoy!

And yet another place to stop on this versatile property is the private Lake in the Woods.  An additional access road is already in place to this long lake with a delightful bluff plateau where you will enjoy more accessible sites overlooking the private lake.  We have planned a site to accommodate a wrap-around deck and picture windows and enjoy the restful outlook.  Year-round water with protected south facing gardening spot to create.  Nature trails abound.  There is another micro-hydro dam and spill over already built into the end of the lake, ready for an additional alternative energy installation.
